Leigh Morgan Joins Hastings Board
The Hastings Center for Bioethics welcomes Leigh Morgan to its board of directors. Leigh is CEO of Imaginal Leadership Strategies, a strategic advisory firm serving clients in life sciences, health care, tech, higher education, and philanthropy. She is immediate past chair of the Fred Hutch Cancer Center and hosts a popular podcast, “The Space in Between,” that explores leadership in divided times.
“Leigh has a longstanding commitment to organizations that aim to make a positive difference in the world and a strong track record in leading them,” says Hastings Center President Vardit Ravitsky. “She appreciates and leverages public engagement on complex ethical dilemmas impacting society and brings a distinct set of governance expertise to our board. I look forward to working with her to guide Hastings to meet the many challenges of our time.”
Morgan has three decades of experience as a C-suite executive, board director, and senior advisor, playing pivotal roles in building, leading, and scaling some of the world’s highest performing, iconic, mission-driven organizations toward sustained impact.
Morgan’s executive roles have included chief operating officer of the Gates Foundation, chief strategy and operating officer of Nia Tero, associate chancellor at the University of California, San Francisco, and vice president/global head of HR at Roche (Genentech). She is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
