Eve Hart Rice, Board Member
Dr. Rice has worked as an author, illustrator and psychiatrist. After graduating with a B.A. in History, Dr. Rice spent twelve years as a full time freelance author and artist of books for children, writing and/or illustrating some eighteen titles before going on to earn an M.D. degree and completing a residency in psychiatry at Payne Whitney Clinic of Cornell University. She is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Weill Medical College of Cornell University. Professional association memberships include theAmerican Psychiatric Association, the Medical Society of the State of New York, and the Authors’ Guild. Dr. Rice is Vice President, Treasurer, and a Director of the Rice Family Foundation, which supports endeavors in health, education, and the environment.
