The Hastings Center collaborates with leading researchers and institutions around the world. These partnerships are essential to the work that we do. They take a variety of forms, including research, publishing, and teaching. In addition to the ongoing collaborations listed here, we have worked with other institutions, including Columbia University, University of Pennsylvania, Harvard, and University of California, San Francisco.
Yale-Hastings Program in Ethics and Health Policy
Through this program, we work with Yale’s Interdisciplinary Center for Bioethics on research projects and present symposiums on health policy topics. Hastings scholars also teach courses on health care ethics at Yale, and Yale faculty can spend time at the Center as visiting scholars. Michael Gusmano is codirector and Brian Earp, associate director. Brian, a former Hastings Center presidential scholar, can be reached at email@example.com. National University of Singapore’s Centre for Biomedical Ethics
The Hastings Center has partnered with the Centre for Biomedical Ethics (CBmE) to expand bioethics scholarship in Asia. The Hastings Center helped launch the Asian Bioethics Review, an online English language bioethics journal published by the National University of Singapore, which reprints selected articles from the Hastings Center Report. In addition, a visiting scholarship program enables researchers from the Singapore clinical, biomedical science, and bioethics communities to spend one to three months at The Hastings Center developing bioethics projects under the guidance of Hastings Center scholars.
