Mr. Canellos is Of Counsel at the New York law firm of Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz.
He is a graduate of Columbia University, where he earned his bachelor’s degree summa cum laude and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. He also attended Columbia Law School and received his LL.B. magna cum laude and was editor-in-chief of the Columbia Law Review. After graduating from Columbia Law School in 1967, Mr. Canellos clerked for the Honorable Judge Charles D. Breitel of the New York Court of Appeals (1967 – 1968) and was a Fulbright Scholar at the University of Amsterdam in the Netherlands. He has served as chairman of the New York State Bar Association Tax Section, and is a frequent writer and lecturer on tax matters.
