Chelsea Lopez

Manager of Advancement Services and Engagement

Chelsea joined The Hastings Center in 2024 in a new position in which she helps manage all aspects of fundraising, communications, and public engagement.

She spent nearly 10 years as the public relations/digital marketing manager for the Maryknoll Sisters. She established a robust digital presence for the organization and spearheaded the strategic vision for all areas of digital marketing, such as public relations, website renovation, social media ads, email marketing, digital ads, and video creation. Through these efforts, Chelsea achieved several viral multimedia marketing campaigns for the nuns resulting in six-to-seven figures in donations. In recognition of her achievements, in 2020 she was named a Westchester Wunderkind (the savviest businesspeople under age 30 in Westchester County, N.Y.) by Westchester Magazine.

After receiving her undergraduate degree from Mercy College, Chelsea attended New York University, where she completed graduate studies in public relations/corporate communications. She spent the first several years of her professional career working in public relations/digital marketing for Heineken, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, Plus Media LLC, and various private businesses, before transitioning to the nonprofit sector. She has become highly motivated by mission work with over a decade of experience creating emotionally and intellectually engaging digital marketing content that drives fundraising efforts and aligns with organizational goals.
