Applications Open: 2026-2027 Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) Global Bioethics Mentorship Program

Applications for the second cohort of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) Global Bioethics Mentorship Program are now open. This Hastings Center program offers a one-year remote opportunity for project-focused mentorship for early-career bioethics researchers in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). Application deadline: August 3.

The SNF Global Bioethics Mentorship Program pairs researchers who have completed their doctoral degrees within the past 10 years with mentors selected from among the Hastings Center Fellows for focused work on a project to advance each researcher’s professional goals. Examples of projects include the development of publications, bioethics curricula, or research plans for funding proposals.

The SNF Global Bioethics Mentorship Program also includes activities to foster peer learning and community-building among SNF Scholars and mentors. All activities and mentoring sessions are conducted in English. SNF Scholars have opportunities to request funding for conference travel or similar activities relevant to their research.

“The SNF Global Bioethics Mentorship Program nurtures and connects the next generation of bioethics researchers globally,” said Hastings Center President Vardit Ravitsky. “We are grateful to the SNF Foundation for their partnership and vision.”

The Hastings Center will invite seven applicants to join the program in 2026-27.
