Our newest member of the team, research scholar Athmeya Jayaram, PhD. Prior to joining the Center, he was a Hecht-Levi Fellow on Ethics and Infectious Disease, appointed jointly at the Berman Institute of Bioethics at Johns Hopkins University and the Wellcome Center for Ethics and Humanities at the University of Oxford. Previously, he was a postdoctoral scholar at the Institute for Practical Ethics at UC San Diego, where he worked with scientists developing “gene drive” mosquitoes.
