GSA Arts and Humanities Forum. Humanistic AI and Humanistic Gerontology: Issues for Researchers
July 22 @ 11:00 am
This interactive webinar is for two groups of gerontology researchers: those who study lived experiences and depictions of aging and want to learn more about humanistic AI models, such as chatbots, designed for older adults, and those who are involved in developing, piloting, and evaluating innovations in aging and care that may include humanistic AI models and partnership with data scientists. It is led by bioethics and health humanities scholar, Nancy Berlinger, PhD, Senior Research Scholar, The Hastings Center for Bioethics, whose research collaborations with gerontologists explore ethical challenges of aging societies. This event aims to initiate ongoing forums for GSA members to explore their questions about the overlapping social experiences of AI and population aging.
