More information and application: Summer Bioethics Workshop for Secondary School Teachers
Are you a high school science teacher interested in helping your students think critically about the social and ethical implications of recent advances in genetics?
You are invited to apply for a three-day Hastings Center Bioethics Workshop on our beautiful campus in the central Hudson River Valley.
Meet with scientists, bioethicists, bioethics educators, and other teachers with similar interests to learn about one of the most important scientific issues of our time.
The workshop will take place from Tuesday evening, July 31, 2018 –Friday mid-afternoon, August 3, 2018.
There are only a very limited number of slots, and this will be a competitive application process.

We will prioritize applicants whose supervisors commit to enabling the teaching of bioethics at their schools. Please ask your school’s principal or department chairperson to submit a letter describing their commitment to integrating bioethics into the curriculum. The more specific, the better.
