Call for Nominations: 2026 Hastings Center Cunniff-Dixon Physician Awards
Nominations are open for the 2026 Hastings Center Cunniff-Dixon Physician Awards, which recognize physicians who provide outstanding care to patients nearing the end-of-life.
The 2026 awards include:
- Three Early-Career Physician Awards: Each award provides $15,000 to a physician with up to 10 years of practice who demonstrates excellence in palliative care.
- Dr. Richard Payne Senior Leadership Award: A $25,000 award for a senior physician with 15-plus years of practice who is recognized for outstanding contributions to palliative care and dedicated service to underserved communities.
Nominations will be accepted from October 1, 2025, until January 31, 2026.

The awards are funded by the Cunniff-Dixon Foundation, which is committed to enhancing the provider-patient relationship at the end of life through education, collaboration, and recognition.
