Apply Now: 2026 Summer Bioethics Program for Undergraduates

Applications are open for the 2026 Hastings Center Summer Bioethics Program, a five-day live online program for undergraduate students who are interested in bioethics issues and related careers and who have limited opportunities for bioethics training.

Admission to this competitive program is by application; 20 applicants will be invited to participate.

The 2026 program starts on Monday, June 1 and concludes on Friday, June 5, and runs from 11 am to 5 pm Eastern Time (ET) each day. Sessions include lectures, discussions, and small-group work. The Hastings Center’s partnership with the Center for ELSI Resources and Analysis (CERA) supports in-depth programming on the ethical, legal, and social implications of human genomics. All sessions will be held live on Zoom. Students who complete all program requirements, including daily attendance and participation, receive a stipend of $250.

Learn more about the program here and apply here. If you have any questions about the program or the application process, please email programs@thehastingscenter.org, with “Summer Bioethics Program” in the subject line.

Applications are due by 11:59 pm ET on March 13.
