Sheila Hopkins is a legal executive with over 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, most recently serving as Chief Legal Officer at Norgine BV, having lived and practiced in the United States, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom. She has served on multiple boards and governance committees, specializing in governance, compliance, and cross-border legal operations.
A graduate of Harvard University, where she graduated magna cum laude and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa, and the University of Pennsylvania Law School, she is licensed to practice law in New York and Washington, D.C. She was a Rotary Graduate Scholar and attended the University of Cape Town, publishing her research in an article titled “An Analysis of U.S.-South African Relations in the 1980s: Has Engagement Been Constructive?” Following graduation from law school, she clerked for Judge Richard J. Cardamone on the U.S Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, after which she spent many years in private practice at the law firm Latham & Watkins in New York and London, advising global clients on complex litigation and strategic transactions.
