Ben Wills joined The Hastings Center in September 2018. He graduated from Vassar College with a major in cognitive science and a minor in Hispanic studies. At the Center, he works on ethical issues related to public deliberation about gene editing, direct-to-consumer care models, ambient artificial intelligence, genetics, and undocumented immigrants’ access to health care.

Before coming to The Hastings Center, he spent a year as a Maguire Fellow doing post-baccalaureate research on gender and workplace gender diversity at the University of Melbourne. He has also worked in law and domestic violence services as an AmeriCorps volunteer.
