Senior Project Manager and Research Assistant
Margaret Matthews joined The Hastings Center in July 2021. She graduated from Vassar College in 2020 with majors in neuroscience and science, technology, and society (STS) and a minor in women’s studies.
Following graduation, she worked as a research assistant and a neurobehavioral lab manager at Vassar. Previously, she served as an RA in biology and neuroscience labs at Vassar and Rutgers University, interned with organizations such as Planned Parenthood and the Reproductive Health Access Project, and supported Vassar’s STS program as the 2019-20 academic intern. Her STS senior capstone examined medication abortion’s politicized history and its potential as a tool for reproductive justice.
