Ethical Responsibilities of Not-for-Profit Hospital Trustees

1997 - 2000

This project, undertaken In collaboration with the New York Academy of Medicine, integrates interviews with trustees of not-for-profit hospitals and analysis by a working group of hospital trustees, executives, physicians, philosophers, social scientists, and representatives of leading professional associations representing hospitals and hospital leadership. The project focuses on issues of hospital governance, the pressures facing trustees of not-for-profit health care institutions, and the hard choices they must often make.
