The Division of Medical Ethics of Weill Cornell Medical College in New York City, in conjunction with the Hospital for Special Surgery Department of Medicine and Rheumatology, invites applications for a fellowship position as a Post-doctoral Associate in Medical Ethics.  We seek candidates with an interest in ethical issues related to rheumatologic, orthopedic and musculoskeletal diseases, and disability for this 1-year appointment.  The successful candidate will bring his/her own methodology to the discourse on the relationship of ethics to the rheumatologic diseases.  Those interested in chronic disease and disability studies are especially urged to apply.  The fellow will have an opportunity to attend ethics committee meetings, teach medical students, participate in Divisional scholarly programs, collaborate with junior fellows in the Department of Public Health, and pursue mentored scholarship. Applicants must hold a doctoral degree in a relevant area of study, which might include medicine, nursing, social sciences, humanities or law.  In addition, s/he must provide evidence of exceptional analytical and verbal abilities and the ability to work collegially with a diverse professional and lay staff.   Send a cover letter, CV, list of 3 references and two published writing samples to: Cathleen A.
