Harvard Law School

The Petrie-Flom Center for Health Law Policy, Biotechnology, and Bioethics seeks distinguished candidates for it’s 2008-2010 academic fellowship program. Petrie-Flom fellowships are full-time, residential fellowships for two full years starting in August/September 2008. Fellows devote their full time to research activities in accordance with their proposals; no teaching obligations are associated with this fellowship. Fellows are expected to attend and participate in research workshops on health law policy and other events designated by the Center and to present their research at least once per year in one of a variety of forums, including academic seminars, speaker panels, or conferences. They are also expected to provide opportunities for interested students to consult with them about their areas of research.

Applicants must hold a degree in law or some other graduate discipline that they intend to apply to issues of health law policy or bioethics. Applicants will be evaluated on the quality and probably significance of their research proposals and on their academic and professional achievements.

Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis starting October 15, 2007. Completed applications must be received by 5 p.m. on November 16, 2007. For additional information, please contact Katherine Paras, Program Administrator, at 617-495-2316, or visit www.law.harvard.edu/programs/petrie-flom.
