Description of Position: The Bioethics Program at the University of Virginia ( www.bioethics.virginia.edu), College of Arts & Sciences, is conducting a search for a faculty member (open rank) in Bioethics. Doctorate in an Arts & Sciences field required (e.g., Religious Studies, Philosophy, Politics, etc.).  (This is NOT one of the two positions currently advertised by the bioethics program in our Medical School.)   Although the Bioethics Program is interdisciplinary, candidate will be tenure-track or tenured in an academic department. Teaching will include undergraduate and graduate level courses and some thesis supervision the successful. Four courses/year (2/semester), at least three of which must be in bioethics-related areas.

Requirements: PhD in Arts & Sciences field
