What are the goals of the program?

Secondary school educators will complete the program with greater comfort identifying the ethical issues present in the genetic topics they teach, and prepared to guide their students in using ethical reasoning to discuss the complex moral questions brought about by new biological technologies.

Am I required to design curricular materials and/or carry out assessments?

No. There is no curricular design requirement or follow-up obligation, though with your permission we may contact you regarding your experiences teaching the material learned at the workshop.

How will the workshop be structured?

Scientists, ethicists, and educators will offer lectures and participatory workshops on the Garrison campus of the Hastings Center.

How do I apply?
