The Department of Bioethics at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine invites applications for a tenured faculty position at the associate or full professor level.
Appointment at the level of Associate Professor will require evidence of progress toward a national reputation for research expertise, a distinguished record of publications, and a record of funded research. Appointment at the level of professor will additionally require a significant national reputation for research excellence.
The applicant must possess a doctoral degree or equivalent, and have a research and publication portfolio in research ethics—preferably stem cell ethics and/or genetics. Candidates must have demonstrated success in obtaining external funding for research.
This position will include responsibilities in the newly-established Stem Cell Ethics Center, as well as teaching and mentoring in the Department's highly successful programs at the undergraduate, Master’s, doctoral, postdoctoral, and medical school levels.
